The Casa Grande Elementary School District believes in maximizing taxpayer dollars to support the district goal of maintaining effective and equitable resources to support the mission and vision of the school district. We are appreciative of our local community for supporting the district’s past bond and override measures that have helped us meet our funding needs over the past 18 years.

This community support enables us to avoid overcrowded classrooms by building new schools, put instructional technology in the hands of all students, replace aging school buses, provide numerous programs for our students, offer competitive salary and benefit packages, and ensure safe, secure, and well maintained facilities at existing schools. We want to thank the Casa Grande Community for making this possible and for its continued support of our neighborhood schools.

With the passing of the 2016 CGESD Bond Override, we obtained the necessary funding to build the newly constructed Casa Grande Middle School and Saguaro Elementary School that opened this past 2018-2019 school year. In addition, we have began utilizing remaining bond funds to invest in state of the art security improvements at all of our schools. When these improvements are complete in 2019, CGESD will become one of the safest and secure districts in the state.

In November 2018, voters of Casa Grande voted YES to continue the 10% Maintenance & Operations Override which provides critical funding to maintain class sizes, deliver quality education, and provide a competitive salary to recruit and retain highly effective teachers. This override funding is crucial for student success now and in the future.
