Ms. Romo is a proud Casa Grande native. Growing up, she attended Evergreen Elementary School and Casa Grande Jr. High when she was younger, as well as Casa Grande Union High School. After volunteering in a second grade classroom, she knew education was the career for her. She went on to earn her degree from Northern Arizona University through the satellite program at Central Arizona College. She has taught several different grade levels and spent a year as a reading coach/interventionist prior to going into administration.
Although she loved teaching, she wanted to work more with teachers and make a positive impact on the school as a whole. In 2013, she became the Teacher On Assignment at McCartney Ranch. After four years, she decided to take on a new challenge as the Assistant Principal at Cactus Middle School. Two years later, she is now the principal at Cactus.
Ms. Romo has three children that all attended school in Casa Grande. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, baking, and spending time with family. She loves the community she was raised in and is excited to make a difference in the lives of the students at Cactus. She is proudly “Leading the pack…” and loving every minute of it!
