14 FOR 14 ATTENDANCE INCENTIVE
What is "14 for 14"?
Students who attend all 14 school days between November 24 and December 18 will be entered in a drawing for a prize. Prize still TBD.
How will the drawing work?
On the 18th, attendance data will be pulled after the first class of the day. We will pull data at 9:15 AM. Teachers need to make sure attendance is entered by 9:15 AM on the 18th. Lisa and her team will pull the student names and do the drawing. Lisa will check with all three middle schools before pulling the data to make sure their attendance for first period is in. We will also verify the winner's attendance in PowerSchool and with the school site before we announce the winner.
Who is eligible?
All K-8 students. No absences (excused or unexcused) from November 24 through the first period/AM on December 18th. Pre-K students will have a separate drawing.

City of Casa Grande Safe Routes to School Study-
On Wednesday, May 14, the City of Casa Grande, in partnership with the Sun Corridor Metropolitan Planning Organization (SCMPO) and a consultant team (Alta Planning + Design and Horrocks), will host a walk audit with parents/caregivers, staff, and other available stakeholders. A walk audit is a guided walk where your school's community has the opportunity to share information about on-site pick-up/drop-off circulation, sidewalks, and paths; off-site streets, crosswalks, sidewalks, and paths around/approaching your school; and commuting behaviors. This valuable input will provide the team with a better understanding of the barriers and challenges for students who walk and bike to school.
SCMPO was recently awarded funding from the Transportation Alternatives Grant Program to pursue a Safe Routes to School Study (SRTS) for the City of Casa Grande. This grant has provided the SCMPO with resources to convene a project team, prioritize strategies, and identify solutions that will make it safer and easier for students to walk and bike to and from school.
If you would like to participate in the walk audit, join us on Wednesday at 7:40 a.m.
7:10 AM - Project team conducts observations during arrivals.
7:40 AM - Walk audit begins after the first bell (project team will provide clipboards, maps, and pens to participants).
