Welcome to Palo Verde, home of the Jaguars!

Palo Verde Elementary School has a long and rich history.  Originally built in 1952 and remodeled in 1996, our school has been an integral part of the Casa Grande Elementary School District and Casa Grande community.  Many of our students’ parents and grandparents attended Palo Verde, which has created a community school that is unique and timeless.  With this strong tradition of learning, we continue to evolve to meet the challenges of the future.  Our Palo Verde campus is home to kindergarten through fifth grade classrooms and our center based autism extended resource program with a total of 560 enrolled students. Our goal has never changed:  create a safe, positive learning environment where each student achieves their personal best in academics, while demonstrating skills for success.                                                                                                                                       Our Palo Verde staff continue to learn and grow professionally by using research based instructional strategies focused on meeting the individual academic needs of each student.  We, as staff, work as a team and strive to be our best for students with approaches that include trauma informed practices, the social emotional learning framework, and positive behavioral interventions.  All students receive wonderful art instruction while attending special area art classes each week.  Students and staff participate in PAW Pride assemblies and join in other Jaguar events. Other resources available at Palo Verde for students include our on site Counselor, LOTUS Behavioral Health Services, and PV Childcare Program, open on Fridays and after school.   We welcome students each day and value them by focusing on engagement and valuing the importance of excellent attendance.   We welcome you to Palo Verde, and we are glad you are here!
