Return to In-Person Learning

Coyote Families,

We are eagerly looking forward to students returning to campus with hybrid learning. Our blue students will start on March 1st and our silver students will start on March 2nd.  As a reminder, blue students are on campus on Mondays and Thursdays and silver students are on campus on Tuesdays and Fridays, with all students attending Academic Lab virtually from 10:00-10:40 on Wednesday. On the days students are not on campus, they should work independently on their asynchronous assignments in their Google Classrooms. These lessons relate to the content taught on campus, and provide additional information about what our students are learning while at school. They should also fill out a daily check-in form found in their Academic Lab classes on the days they are working from home.

Campus opens at 8:15, and students should go directly to their Academic Lab class when they arrive on campus. First period begins at 8:43, please make sure your child arrives on time. If your child rides the bus, they will ride the same bus they previously rode last semester with the same pick up and drop off times. Please contact the office if you have any questions about transportation.

While students are on campus we will once again practice the same safety measures that were in place last semester. In order to ensure the health and safety of everyone on campus, we ask that students wear a mask at all times while on campus and practice physical distancing. Students should bring their laptop and power cord to campus as well as a water bottle. Personal laptops should be left at home. We will have laptops available for check out for students that might need one while on campus.

Students will maintain the same teachers and class schedules, with lunch built into different periods of the day depending on the grade level. 6th Grade will eat during 3rd period, 7th grade during 4th period and 8th grade during 5th period. All of our students will qualify for free breakfast and lunch for the remainder of the school year. Students are still welcome to bring their own lunch if they would like.

As I continue to get more information about our return, I will be sure to pass it on to you. We recognize that this has been a challenging year for students, and we appreciate your support as we have worked to ensure we are providing the best education possible while still keeping student and staff health and safety in mind. We are looking forward to seeing our students once again back on campus!

As always, please reach out if you have any questions or concerns.

Take care and stay safe,

Rebecca Romo
