• With the recent approval from the U.S. Department of Agriculture(USDA) to serve free meals to children 18 years and younger through June 2021, meals will be available to every child without the determination of eligibility status. USDA has approved for schools to provide families with meals during school breaks and weekends. Menus can be found on our district webpage, as well as, MealViewer.com.

    As a reminder, your student’s meal account balance automatically carries into the next school year until completion of the 8th grade. It is up to you to monitor your child’s lunch account balance and you may do so free of charge at www.MySchoolBucks.com. If your child will no longer be attending the Casa Grande Elementary School District and has a balance remaining in his/her meal account, it is
    your responsibility to request a refund, if you elect to do so. Per the district’s debt policy, any positive balance remaining after one year on an inactive account will become the property of the Casa Grande Elementary School District Department of Nutrition Services. Forfeited money on the account will be used to pay the debt after the end of the school year.  

    To receive a refund of your child's lunch account balance, please fill out the attached form and send it via email to Francisca.Reyes@cgesd.org. If you do not have access to email, please contact our Nutrition Services office at 520-876-3411 to complete the form over the phone. Student Meal Account refunds are processed upon receipt.

  • Beef, Patty/Chicken, Patty/Meatloaf/Sausage/Wonderbites:
    Microwave from frozen place on a microwave safe plate. Cover with a paper towel and heat on high for 40-45 seconds. Heat to 165⁰ for 15 seconds.
    Pizza/Mozzarella Sticks/Garlic Bread: Preheat oven to 325⁰, place directly on center oven rack. Cook 7-10 minutes
    Chicken Nuggets/Popcorn Chicken: Microwave on high for 1-1 1/2 minutes. Heat to 165⁰  for 15 seconds.
    Corndog/Hot dog: Microwave frozen 90 seconds, thawed 60 seconds
    Blueberry Stick: Preheat oven to 400, bake for 10-15 minutes.
    French Toast: Open one end of wrapper and microwave for 35 seconds
    Tac-Go/Omelette: Heat oven to 350 and cook internal temp to 165
    Egg Patty: Microwave from for 1 min 55 seconds
    Meatballs: Microwave 2-3 minutes
    Baked Chicken Leg: Preheat over to 350, bake 10-20 minutes
    Tamale: Wrap in a damp paper towel, place on microwave safe plate, and heat until internal temp reaches 165.

    HOT FOOD SHOULD REMAIN HOT AND EATEN OR REFRIGERATED WITHIN 2 HOURS.
    COLD FOOD SHOULD REMAIN COLD AND EATEN OR REFRIGERATED WITHIN 2 HOURS.
    FOOD REHEATED SHOULD REACH INTERNAL TEMP OF 165 DEGREES FOR 15 SECONDS.
    HANDS SHOULD BE WASHED BEFORE HANDLING OR CONSUMING FOOD.
    ALL VEGETABLES, BEANS, FRIES, AND POTATOES/BREAD MUST BE REHEATED TO AT LEAST 140 DEGREES.
